Kellie Shanks

Secretary in Employment

Kellie plays an important role supporting the Employment Law team, and is someone the team genuinely relies on. Calm, organised and an excellent communicator, she brings a steady reliability to a role that demands both precision and adaptability.

With over two decades of experience across legal and professional services, Kellie brings breadth of knowledge and a practical, solutions-focused approach to every matter.

Her role is varied, from new client enquiries and diary management to supporting employment tribunal proceedings, preparing documents and overseeing invoicing and account monitoring.

Kellie’s strong communication skills mean she is equally at ease supporting clients and managing sensitive correspondence. She also supports the firm’s monthly employment law meetings and provides coordination support to the marketing team, helping to organise meetings and keep activity on track.

Career

Kellie spent six years as a legal secretary at a company commercial law firm in London, and before that built her career across property consultancy and recruitment, also in London. She joined Longmores in 2022 and it proved to be exactly the right move. Kellie genuinely loves the team she is part of. She appreciates that at Longmores, everyone shares the same strong work ethic and is genuinely invested in the firm’s success.

Community

Beyond her core role, Kellie is a member of Longmores’ ESG committee, where she contributes to the firm’s ongoing work around sustainability, responsible business practice and social impact, an area that she really cares about.

Personal interests

Kellie has been a backing singer in a soul band for 22 years, performing regularly across Essex. She also plays piano and clarinet. When she is not on stage she can be found at the gym or at home with Albert, her much-loved French bulldog.
