The Longmores Charitable Fund

Longmores has made a commitment to charities in Hertfordshire by opening an fund with Hertfordshire Community Foundation called the Longmores Charitable Fund.

This marks a significant milestone in the firm’s history with our biggest ever commitment to charities in the county.

The aim of an endowment fund is never to spend the capital, so this money will be invested and each year and there will be a return for us to distribute to charity.  We will also aim to increase the size of the fund each year to increase the return it generates.

Objectives of the Fund

The Fund’s purpose it to support smaller, Hertfordshire based charities that are less well-known and in greater need of support than established and national charities.  In particular the Longmores Charitable Fund aims to support those which:

• Help young people to participate in society
• Alleviate loneliness for the older generation
• Relieve poverty and financial hardship
• Support families in adverse circumstances
• Care for individuals with long-term conditions

Please be aware that The Longmores Charitable Foundation is now closed and we do not accept applications for grants or donations.  Longmores manages all of its charitable giving through its fund with Hertfordshire Community Foundation.
