Careers

With collaboration at the heart of everything we do for our clients we understand that to achieve the high standards we set ourselves we need a team that works happily together.

Balance is central to how we operate so you will find us structured but not hierarchical. Our friendly and supportive environment is upheld by our management team who are open about strategy and performance so they share regular communications and there are plenty of opportunities to talk to them in person. We are all on first name terms and office doors are open – plus there is a calendar of social gatherings to enjoy from parties to pottery painting and theatre trips.

We have a performance and development programme for all our solicitors and support staff and everybody has the option of an annual career discussion too. With this open approach we aim to understand the personal goals people have for their careers and try to support them as much as possible with training, mentoring and opportunities within the firm.

Growth of the firm in recent years has enabled staff to progress their careers within Longmores. Solicitors have been promoted to partners; trainees have qualified as solicitors; secretaries have studied for legal qualifications; and the operational team have raised the bar for the expertise needed in the smooth running of the firm.

Our balanced and progressive approach is borne out by a tradition of long service throughout our history.

Benefits

We offer a range of benefits to our employees to support them through their busy working lives with us. Many benefits are available from the beginning, others require a minimum term of service. Some are granted after a formal request has been reviewed and some are not contractual. This allows us to be both flexible in our offering and to ensure benefits are shared fairly across the whole Longmores team. All have been chosen by way of acknowledging the significant amount of time our people invest in their careers which we like to reward in return.
