Meet the Head of Commercial Property – Rachael Spalton
Rachael is the head of Longmores’ commercial property practice. She joined the firm in 2015 after a successful career in large City and West End law firms.
What does she like about working for Longmores?
“We are a dynamic and enthusiastic team with many years of experience and a wide range of knowledge in all aspects of commercial property. We offer our clients the benefits of a modern, cost-effective approach and a long-established firm.”
Examples of our work:
Maximising client control in a promotion agreement, ensuring that our client retained control over aspects of the proposed scheme and planning strategy that were important to him, without jeopardising the desired outcome for the promoter.
Purchasing and refinancing a major development site and assisting with the sale of each new residential unit as it became available; a complex mix of freehold houses and leasehold apartments
Simplifying an asset sale that was made complex by VAT issues and partial tenancy of one of the properties, without compromising the timeframe.
Carrying out investigation of title and full due diligence on the £1.65 million bank financing of three industrial units to ensure that the deal could be completed in a timely manner. Longmores were also instructed by the bank in relation to the funding of the purchase and additionally by the client regarding an option agreement with a developer of their existing premises; a transaction made possible by this purchase.
Longmores become members of ALEP
Longmores Solicitors have the pleasure in announcing their membership of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP).
