Responsible Business
Building on the foundations of our first Responsible Business report published last year, in 2024/25 we have advanced our environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. The creation of a dedicated ESG committee has given us greater focus, accountability, and momentum. The committee has guided initiatives across four key workstreams:
- Reducing our environmental impact
- Enhancing our social value both internally and externally
- Improving our governance structures
- Developing an overarching action plan to drive progress.

Our approach to Responsible Business
At Longmores people have always been at the heart of everything we do; the firm has thrived for over 200 years because of the relationship between our loyal clients and our exceptional team. We have a proud history of supporting our people and their professional and personal development and of supporting our community through various charitable and social responsibility initiatives.
Now, in a rapidly changing world, the sustainability of our planet and the resilience of our profession have become equally important to us. Our ESG committee brings together colleagues from different teams and levels of seniority to provide a variety of perspectives on how ESG should be integrated and advanced within the firm. They guide, oversee and promote our responsible business practices.
Our report is built around the findings of a materiality assessment undertaken in 2023/24. For each of the three pillars of ESG, we have aligned them with the relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) to create a robust plan that will ensure that Longmores continues to play a positive role in society.
Our vision for the future
Our vision is simple: to deliver excellence for our clients while making a lasting, positive contribution to our community and environment. By embedding ESG principles into everything we do, Longmores will continue to grow as a trusted, responsible, and resilient firm.
We are excited to share our journey with you and look forward to working together to build a more sustainable future.
