Your work is likely to be one of the most important aspects of your life. However, relationships between employer and employee do not always run smoothly.
If and when issues arise, our specialist Employment solicitors bring to bear their many years of practical experience, combined with their expertise to help you understand your legal position and your options. We make recommendations tailored to your particular needs and circumstances. You can then take an informed decision as to how best to proceed in order to secure the best outcome possible for you.
We act for individuals, regardless of seniority, employment status or industry sector and from all walks of life in a wide variety of matters including:
- Termination and Settlement Agreements
- Workplace issues including disciplinary matters and grievances
- Employment contracts
- Representation at Employment Tribunals
- Discrimination issues
Our approach is to provide clients with proactive advice and support over the long term.
Our specialist team of Employment lawyers pride themselves on high levels of personal service and excellent communication. Our advice is clear, concise and practical; we make recommendations rather than simply telling you the legal position. We expect to provide ongoing support for as long as you need it.

What does he like about working for Longmores?
“We work tirelessly to deliver the best end result for our clients, because we always take their interests extremely seriously; I am proud to say that is the Longmores way.”
Examples of our work:
Pursuing a claim of age discrimination for a senior executive of a global investment bank. We advised him on his claim strategy relating to issues of defective dismissal process and redundancy rationale. As a result of our work, we negotiated a lucrative six figure and tax-efficient settlement for our client.
Representing an employee at an employment tribunal in a claim of sex discrimination against her employer. The claim involved allegations of pregnancy-related discrimination in the context of redundancy with complex evidential issues. At the end of a six day hearing an award of over £70,000 was made to our client.
Advising a shareholder and director on his departure from the design services company he founded. We helped our client successfully navigate his departure which was highly acrimonious. It involved elements of constructive dismissal and claims for prejudice against minority shareholders. We were able to resolve the claim successfully by way of compensation and a share sale.
