Case Studies

  • Pursuing a claim of age discrimination for a senior executive of a global investment bank. We advised him on his claim strategy relating to issues of defective dismissal process and redundancy rationale. As a result of our work, we negotiated a lucrative six figure and tax-efficient settlement for our client.
  • Representing an employee at an employment tribunal in a claim of sex discrimination against her employer.  The claim involved allegations of pregnancy-related discrimination in the context of redundancy with complex evidential issues. At the end of a six day hearing an award of over £70,000 was made to our client.
  • Advising a shareholder and director on his departure from the design services company he founded.  We helped our client successfully navigate his departure which was highly acrimonious. It involved elements of constructive dismissal and claims for prejudice against minority shareholders. We were able to resolve the claim successfully by way of compensation and a share sale.
