Chambers UK 2021 Guide Ranks Longmores

Chambers & Partners has released the Chambers UK 2021 guide today with Longmores achieving rankings for three departments and three solicitors.  New to the guide is our Family team jumping straight in at band 3 with Tracey Dargan being awarded an individual ranking in band 2.  Each year a team of experienced Chambers researchers assess law firms and lawyers and produce a directory of the rankings.  In the biggest guide yet, Dispute Resolution, Commercial Property, John Wiblin and Richard Gvero are also ranked.

Chambers UK 2021 Rankings

Family: band 3

Our Family and Divorce team has achieved a new ranking in the Chambers UK 2021 guide.

What the team is known for  Hertford-based team with wide-ranging skills in family law.  Advises on financial proceedings arising from divorce as well as those concerning cohabiting couples looking to separate.  Also has notable experience advising on private children work, including Schedule 1 applications, residence orders and international relocation.

The team has maintained its band 4 ranking in its usual Real Estate category, now renamed Lower Mid-Market.

What the team is known for  Notable firm acting for both public and private sector clients.  Frequently instructed by local landowners and able to advise on a range of complex land and property sales and purchases.  Work includes both freehold and leasehold matters. Additional strength in advising on the refinancing of freehold property.

Work highlights  Advised Tappenden & Co on its £5.2 million purchase of a light industrial building.

Dispute Resolution: band 4

Our Litigation team has also retained their band 4 ranking in the Chambers UK 2021 guide.

What the team is known for  Experienced handling breach of contract and breach of directors’ duties claims.  Also assists with shareholder disputes, including unfair prejudice claims.  Clients include international and regional companies as well as private individuals.  The team also has experience in real estate and IP disputes.

Strengths  A client highlights the “excellent, well-considered responses and advice” the team provides.

Work highlights  Acted for Andusia Recovered Fuels on a breach of contract dispute with Thorncliffe Building Supplies.
