Poaching Clients and Stealing Information: how to reduce the risk to your business

  • This event has passed.

About the event

Business owners should think about the risk of departing or ex-employees stealing clients or taking business critical information with them.  With so many people changing jobs at the moment, now is a good time to consider the solutions you can put in place to protect your business and reduce the risk of haemorrhaging clients or losing valuable information.

Richard Gvero and Miranda Mulligan from the Longmores Employment team will talk about the measures you can put in place when employing staff or engaging a consultant:

  • restrictive covenants
  • consultancy agreements

John Wiblin from the Dispute Resolution team at Longmores will explain what happens if things go wrong:

  • injunctions
  • search orders and the alternatives
  • the process to follow if information or customers are stolen
  • protecting intellectual property
