Employment Law is changing: is your business ready?

About the event

The Employment Rights Act 2025 has introduced some of the biggest changes to employee rights in a generation. With the main reforms being implemented, and significant changes due to come into force in October 2026 and January 2027, now is the time for HR leaders and business owners to understand what the changes mean for their organisation, particularly in relation to unfair dismissal rights.

The reforms are intended to strengthen protections for employees, but they may also increase the risk of employment claims, workplace disputes and liability for employers. Businesses that take steps now will be in a much stronger position.

During this webinar, the Longmores Employment team will explain the key changes and the practical steps employers should be considering now, including:

  • Unfair dismissal rights
  • Basic rights from day one including sick pay, parental, paternity and bereavement leave
  • Increased anti-harassment obligations
  • Increased scope for employees to bring employment tribunal claims

A Q&A session will follow the presentation when delegates can ask their questions.

This event will be useful for HR directors, managers and business owners who are responsible for employing staff.
