Company Directors: Responsibilities and Liabilities

  • This event has passed.

About the event

The role of a director is a serious one.  Many rules apply, there is the possibility of personal liability, much responsibility, and accepting the role is a decision not to be taken lightly.

From the moment you become a director there are legal obligations placed upon you. So, it is essential for all young directors and seasoned professionals to understand the duties of a director and what you can and cannot do.

During this seminar, solicitors from Longmores’ commercial team will;

  • Describe how a company with directors is structured
  • Clarify the relationship between directors and shareholders
  • Outline the duties of directors
  • Explain how liability and priorities change the minute you think your company may not be able to pay its debts
  • Share tips and solutions to help you mitigate risk so you can focus on your business priorities with a clear understanding of your role as a director.

This event will be beneficial to both new and existing directors who would like a summary about their responsibilities and liabilities, so they understand the rewards and risks of being a director.

Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers’ after the presentation.
