Business Owners: Inheritance Tax and Business Property Relief

  • This event has passed.

About the event

Relief is unlikely to be the feeling associated with the change to Business Property Relief in April 2026.

Business owners face an increased tax liability, so it is an important time to think about how you want to pass on your assets to the next generation and take stock of your inheritance tax planning.

Recently ranked as a Tier 1 firm in The Legal 500 2026 directory, Alastair Liddiard and Bernard Flanagan from Longmores Solicitors will give a presentation to explain:

  • The changes to Business Relief that are being introduced
  • The planning opportunities to be considered
  • The issue of Wills and how they interact with the planning
  • Values in estates and Residence Nil Rate Band

This event will be beneficial to anybody who owns, or part owns a business even if you are not at the helm.  After the presentation, there will be a Q&A when delegates are welcome to ask questions to the speakers.
