Rachel Rugeri

Secretary in Private Client

Rachel supports solicitors across Wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration. Private client work requires more than technical competence – it calls for patience, steadiness, and a genuine ability to put people at ease when circumstances are difficult. Rachel brings those qualities naturally.

Many of the clients she assists are navigating the loss of a loved one, and her empathy helps them feel listened to and looked after. She holds herself to a high standard, which matters in this area of work. When someone is dealing with a bereavement or a complex estate, small details and the tone of communication can make a real difference. Rachel understands that, and it shapes how carefully she handles everything – correspondence, calls, paperwork, and the conversations in between.

Career

Rachel has worked as a legal secretary since 2019, beginning her career at a criminal law firm as an office junior and building her experience steadily from there.

From criminal law she moved into family, and from family into private client – a progression that makes sense when you understand what she values most about the work. Each move brought her closer to matters where the human stakes are highest, and where the quality of support given to a client in a difficult moment makes a difference.

She has genuinely enjoyed her time at Longmores. The firm has a strong sense of history and a culture where people are given the space to do their best work, and that suits her well. She gets involved in the social side of the firm wherever she can, from summer parties and theatre trips to bowling evenings and cheese and wine with colleagues.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Rachel keeps active through the gym, yoga, and dancing. She and her husband love to travel and have built up a well-stamped passport, taking in Malta, Australia, and the Philippines. Majorca and France are next on the horizon.
