Meryem Ali

Paralegal in Residential Conveyancing

Meryem is a Paralegal  supporting clients through one of the most significant transactions of their lives: the buying and selling of homes. She is organised, detail-focused and approachable, with a natural ability to put clients at ease. She understands that behind every property matter is an individual who wants the process to feel clear, manageable and as stress-free as possible.

Her calm, methodical approach and strong organisational skills make her particularly well suited to conveyancing, where careful coordination and attention to detail are essential.

Meryem keeps transactions on track by regularly updating clients on their purchase or sale, preparing and reviewing contract documentation, handling enquiries and liaising with solicitors, mortgage lenders and estate agents. She takes pride in being reliable and responsive, ensuring clients feel informed and supported at every stage.

Career

Meryem began her career in the legal sector as a junior secretary in family law straight from school, before progressing to legal secretary and legal assistant roles. Over the years, she built up extensive practical experience and a strong understanding of legal processes.

She joined Longmores in November 2021, following roles at several conveyancing firms, and has since continued to develop her expertise in  commercial and residential property.

She particularly values the variety the role offers, with no two transactions ever the same. She also appreciates Longmores’ supportive environment, describing it as having a genuine sense of community and an open-door culture where colleagues are always willing to help.

Expertise

Meryem is registered as a Conveyancing Technician with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, reflecting both her technical knowledge and her commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Personal interests

Outside work, Meryem has a strong interest in health and wellbeing. She practises Pilates, trains regularly with a personal trainer and has explored breathwork and reiki as part of her routine. Her interest in reiki, a form of energy-based therapy focused on relaxation and balance, reflects her wider approach to wellbeing and mindfulness. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her pet poodle, who ensures life outside work is never too quiet.
