Katie Williams
Katie is organised, friendly and supportive, and colleagues know they can rely on her whatever the task. She brings a consistent, detail-focused approach to her work, whether she is preparing a newsletter, updating website content or planning an event. Her particular strength lies in planning: she has a natural eye for anticipating what an event needs to run smoothly, from coordinating logistics to making sure everyone feels welcome and included.
That mix of precision and planning is reflected in the variety of her role, which covers everything from social media and website content to newsletters and event planning. She plans around four marketing events a year, including one with the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and a co-sponsored business breakfast club with Avec and NatWest.
Career
Katie studied Business and Marketing at Oxford Brookes University before joining Longmores as a Marketing Executive in 2021, where she was able to adapt what she had learned during her degree to a professional services setting. She has since progressed to Senior Marketing and Events Executive, reflecting both the breadth of her role and the support she has received to develop within the firm.
That supportive culture is something Katie values at Longmores. She describes the atmosphere as friendly and welcoming, pointing to initiatives such as the next generation lunches for anyone below partner level, where new starters can ask questions freely. She also plays an active part in firm life as a member of the social committee, helping to organise events including an assault course, a theatre trip to see Devil Wears Prada, a sip and paint evening, and a bowling night, alongside supporting the firm’s ESG projects.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Katie enjoys walking and spends much of her spare time with her cockerspaniel puppy, Milo. She likes to travel and see new places when she can, reads widely across different genres, and enjoys watching sport.
