Karen Fletcher
Karen leads the team helping people buy and sell their home as well as assisting with all other types of residential conveyancing transaction such as remortgages, equity release, transfers of equity, deeds of trust, and buy to let investments.
Whether you are a first time buyer, seasoned home mover, or you are looking to invest in buy to let property, Karen is here to lend a helping hand.
She has handled hundreds of conveyancing transactions during her time at Longmores and understands exactly what you need from your conveyancing solicitor – a professional but friendly individual you can trust to act quickly, safeguard your interests, provide regular updates and respond promptly to any queries or concerns you have along the way.
Career
Growing up, Karen was often told that she could argue so well that she should become a lawyer. So, perhaps it was a testament to her childhood skill to disagree that she chose to specialise in an area of law where the less arguing there is the better.
Karen enjoys residential property law because it is logical and technical, but still has a noticeable positive impact on her clients’ lives. Buying or selling a home or any other conveyancing transaction is exciting but can also be stressful. Karen loves being part of that experience and helping people through it as smoothly and painlessly as possible – a style which she encourages across her team.
Karen studied Law with Criminology at Keele University, graduating in 2003. She then studied her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law in Chester, graduating in 2004. She undertook her solicitor training contract at a high street firm and qualified into the residential property team. Karen then spent several years specialising in residential property law at high street firms in London and Surrey before joining Longmores in 2017. In 2025 Karen took over the leadership of the residential property team.
