Karen is an experienced Legal Secretary who supports fee earners while also overseeing the firm’s debt recovery work. She has a steady, reassuring way of working that helps keep everything moving in the right direction, even on busier days.
Her role spans both secretarial support and debt recovery, and she approaches it with a clear, structured mindset. She has a knack for bringing order to complex workloads, ensuring each step is handled with care and consistency.
Day to day, she supports file opening, ID checks and onboarding, document management, court and tribunal administration, diary coordination, and billing processes. Alongside this, she manages debt recovery from initial instruction through to court proceedings, including preparing letters before claim and progressing claims as required.
Karen is particularly skilled at keeping multiple priorities moving forward at the same time, staying calm under pressure and making sure the details don’t slip. She takes pride in anticipating what is needed next and helping matters progress smoothly.

Karen brings over two decades of experience in the legal sector, having supported teams across a wide range of practice areas including family, criminal and company commercial law. This breadth of experience has given her a strong, practical understanding of how different areas of law operate and how best to support them.
She joined Longmores over ten years ago and has been an integral part of the team ever since. She values the firm’s supportive and friendly culture, the strong sense of teamwork, and the balance it offers between professional and personal life.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Karen enjoys getting lost in a good book and spending time drawing and painting, which she finds both relaxing and rewarding. She also makes the most of time with family and friends, whether that’s cinema trips, meals out or social evenings together.
