Guest speaker Stuart Burt, Head of Public Policy Unit at NatWest Group, will reflect on Andy Burnham’s first few months as Prime Minster, his policy agenda and the implications for businesses across different sectors.

Then Melanie Prestwich, Corporate Tax Partner at Azets, will summarise the tax announcements from the Chancellor’s autumn budget and the considerations and opportunities.

About the speakers

Stuart Burt, Head of Public Policy Unit at NatWest Group
Stuart leads the bank’s public policy work, with a particular focus on economic growth and the wider UK policy agenda. Prior to joining NatWest, he spent eight years at KPMG UK leading public policy and political analysis, advising senior business leaders on political developments. Earlier in his career, he worked at Channel 4, in the UK Parliament, and in parliamentary roles internationally.

Melanie Prestwich, Corporate Tax Partner at Azets
Melanie has been advising family and owner-managed businesses for over 30 years and is known for her practical approach to cutting through the technical noise that follows a budget announcement by highlighting the real implications of tax changes and what matters to business owners.
