You are invited to Business Breakfast Club – a networking event for business leaders from Hertfordshire and North London hosted by Azets, Longmores Solicitors and NatWest.

Join us for networking, a buffet breakfast and presentation from our guest speaker, Melanie Prestwich.

Melanie will outline the Budget that Labour Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, will be presenting to Parliament on 30 October.  Whilst Labour pledged not to raise income tax, VAT or National Insurance, and few changes were planned for business tax, the Prime Minister forewarned that the Budget will be “painful” and indications are that there may be rises for capital gains tax, council tax and tax on pensions, inheritance and savings.  However, the budget may also include tax planning opportunities and Melanie will outline what steps individuals and businesses can take to improve their position.

About the speaker

Melanie Prestwich, Corporate Tax Partner, Azets

Melanie is an experienced Corporate Tax Partner, based in the Hertford office and is Head of Tax for Azets’ South region. As a tax specialist with many years of experience advising both family and owner-managed businesses and larger corporates, Melanie works closely with her clients to understand their risks and minimise their tax exposure. She is passionate about combining her tax knowledge and experience in working with businesses to help their owners achieve their goals.
