Firm plays supporting role in National Drama Festival

Leading Hertford-based solicitors Longmores are sponsoring the National Drama Festival, which will be held at Hertford Theatre from 25 July to 31 July.

The event, inaugurated by the National Drama Festivals Association (NDFA) in 1974, brings together the ‘Best of the Best’ winners of local drama festivals from across Britain for a hotly contested season-closing competition.

The event will feature three full-length plays, eight one-act plays, and three youth one-act plays, all of which were winners of their local festivals. These will be performed in competition and professionally adjudicated by a member of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators.

Amateur Hertford groups have previously triumphed at the festival, with local theatre company, the Heath Players, winning last year’s full-length play trophy for ‘Bomber’s Moon’.

Practice Director, Tim Robinson, said: “Longmores is delighted to be sponsoring the 2016 National Drama Festival, as we always enjoy seeing talent rewarded - and we aim to help clients and staff achieve their full potential.

“We are committed to working with Hertford’s community and hope our contribution to the National Drama Festival will raise the event’s profile and increase attendance. We are all looking forward to an exciting week of high quality acting.”
