Uzma Saleem

Associate Solicitor in Residential Property

Uzma works with clients dealing with residential property which include first time buyers and high net worth individuals, companies and executors who are buying and selling leasehold and freehold houses and flats.

Career

Uzma studied Law at the University of Hertfordshire, graduating in 2010. She then studied her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law, graduating in 2014.  She undertook her solicitor training contract at a high street firm and qualified into their Residential Property team in 2018.

Uzma then joined the Longmores Residential Property team in 2021 and quickly became known for going above and beyond to build a strong relationship with her clients and a work ethic that is about understanding more than just property, it is about her clients’ homes and lives.

Expertise

Uzma has a vast level of experience in dealing with standard and complex residential property matters including sales and purchases of freehold, leasehold and new build homes.

Some of her most notable transactions include dealing with the purchase of houses valued in excess £1 million both in London and locally.

Uzma’s clients praise her for her professional and friendly manner combined with her problem solving skills for even the most complex of property chains whilst always keeping them informed of progress.

Uzma’s work includes:

  • Sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold property
  • Buy-to-let investment properties
  • Re-mortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • New build sales and purchases.

Having been through the process of buying her own property, she understands how daunting the experience can be and believes in the importance of providing clear and concise advice to clients and keeping them well informed.  She believes in taking a simplified and pragmatic approach in explaining the conveyancing process to her clients. She understands that not all conveyancing experiences will be the same and works really hard to ensure that she gives a good service to all of her clients.

Professional Feedback

Uzma helped me with the sale of my property and our next purchase. It was a difficult chain with many hurdles along the way and Uzma supported me through it. Keeping my requirements in mind, Uzma was proactive at ensuring everything in our control was completely quickly or ahead of time, and even offered ‘Plan B’ suggestions when things got tricky. She was able to effectively coordinate multiple parties to get this completed and her communication with me throughout the process was exceptional.”  Review Solicitors 2025
