Meet the Head of Company and Commercial – Rina Sond
Rina is the head of Longmores’ company and commercial practice. She joined the firm in 2014 following a career in both regional and City firms.
What does she like about working for Longmores?
“It’s great to be part of a department that comprises such a strong and cohesive team, a wide range of complementary skills and a depth of experience.”
Examples of our work:
We helped our client, a leading firm of chartered accountants, tax specialists and auditors, to merge with a Cambridge-based accountancy firm, both of which were Limited Liability Partnerships. The transaction involved a pre-completion restructure of one party, followed by the drafting of a business acquisition agreement. Longmores undertook detailed negotiations regarding amendments to the LLP agreement to facilitate the admission of the Cambridge-based partners into the merged firm.
We helped our client, an international car parts manufacturer, to negotiate contracts with worldwide dealers and distributors. We negotiated and drafted supply agreements with national and international companies in the automotive supply chain, including the preparation of complex manufacturing agreements. These agreements have enabled the business to increase its global footprint while retaining control of its sophisticated brand.
We helped our client, a leading Hertfordshire construction firm to set up a £50 million joint venture agreement with a UK-based self-storage business. The transaction involved negotiating and drafting a multimillion pound loan facility with a venture capitalist, which included a full suite of security documents and a joint venture agreement to govern the 35% shareholding taken by the investor in the new company.
